2017 Game of Throws Champion

Congratulations to Chris on leading wizard of roz to their second championship in the GoT Iron Bowl IV.

Wizard of Roz finished the regular season in 1st place in the Westerland division (2nd overall) with a 9-4 record and 1,678.75 points for. After securing a first round bye they defeated Crows Before Hoes (9-4, 3rd) 122.30 to 107.05 in the semifinals. They went on to play Valar Funghulis in the finals and won 129.90 to 98.95 winning the Iron Bowl for the second time in franchise history.

Valar Funghulis took down Mother of Dragons (7-6, 5th), 125.70 to 109.80 in the semidinals. The week before, Valar Funghulis had a 1st round bye. Valar Funghulis finished the regular season with a 11-2 record and 1,638.25 points for.

2016 Game of Throws Champion

Congratulations to Domenick (yeah I know, me.) on leading Crows Before Hoes to their first championship in the GOT Iron Bowl III (And yeah, I just made that up).

Crows Before Hoes finished the regular season in 1st place with a 10-3 record and 1,828.55 points for (setting a new league record). After securing a first round bye they defeated The Waterboy (8-5, 3rd) 124.10 to 99.70 in the semifinals. They went on to play The Sand Snakes in the finals and won 190.55 to 122.35 winning the Iron Bowl for the first time.

Championship: Wizard of Roz Slaps T.D. Parker

Wizard of Roz 143.75 vs T.D. Parker 86.30

Wizard of Roz got 35.80 points from Julio Jones and 30.15 from Matthew Stafford, stomping T.D. Parker, 143.75 to 86.40. Wizard of Roz has done a good job of putting teams away early, collecting eight blowout wins on the year. Wizard of Roz has been a powerhouse and has now won five straight. This beating avenges a 145.80 to 133.10 loss to T.D. Parker back in Week 11. T.D. Parker finished the regular season in first place with a record of 10-3. They also ranked first in the league with 138.96 points per game. In their only other postseason game of the season, T.D. Parker beat DiRoc, 169.80 to 126.55.

Playoffs: Wizard of Roz Gets Late Victory over Crows Before Hoes

Crows Before Hoes 111.9 vs Wizard of Roz 136.8

You might as well call Wizard of Roz the “Comeback Kids” after overcoming a 7.80-point differential on Monday night to defeat Crows Before Hoes, 136.80 to 111.90. Wizard of Roz was led by 30.60 points from Matthew Stafford and 28.80 from Julio Jones. Someone check the temperature of Wizard of Roz. They’ve been on fire, winning their last four matchups in a row. This upset was sweeter than most, serving as revenge for a Week 6 175.80 to 126.85 loss to Crows Before Hoes. Crows Before Hoes finished the regular season in second place with a record of 10-3. They also ranked second in the league with 137.40 points per game. Crows Before Hoes was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their only playoff matchup.

Wizard of Roz 125.65 vs Tyrion’s Tyrants 114.7

Wizard of Roz took advantage of 23.80 points from Eddie Lacy and 22.75 from Matthew Stafford to beat Tyrion’s Tyrants 125.65 to 114.70. Someone check the temperature of Wizard of Roz. They’ve been on fire, winning their last three matchups in a row. This is a repeat performance for Wizard of Roz over Tyrion’s Tyrants, after a 130.25 to 68.40 shellacking in Week 9. Tyrion’s Tyrants must have some good karma from a previous season or event. They finished the regular season in sixth place with a record of 7-6, despite ranking just 10th in the league in scoring at 117.69 points per game. Tyrion’s Tyrants will start their vacation earlier than they hoped, as they lost their only postseason game.
